The NAPC is dedicated to the development of primary care, and to its role in world class commissioning.

All clinicians and managers working in or attached to general practice

Commissioning groups and consortia

Independent sector care providers

PCTs and SHAs

Other commercial companies with an interest in primary care


The National Association of Primary Care (NAPC)


The Association, which has no party political allegiance, supports its members through an extended range of activities including:


Lobbying and working with government

Supporting the implementation and roll-out of government policy

Publishing daily news bulletins

Running an helpline for members

Providing specialist advice and support to members

Organising training, conferences and events to support primary care, as well as the provision of tailor-made programmes to support the development of pharmaceutical industry staff

Offering tailor-made membership packages for corporate members

Offering a range of resources to support practices in commissioning, providing and service redesign NAPC has been a key voice in primary care following the Government’s health white paper, and is leading body in the drive to see primary care professionals toward a stronger NHS.
